Q: Toyota Camrys?
How are the new toyota camrys? I have an older one and i love it.. I was thinking on buying a car a new toyota camry LE are they good?
currently have 94 camry
A: They’re probably just as reliable as your ‘94 but the verdict is out on that with the 07 and 08s having transmission issues on te V6. Only problem is it might not be as well built. That’s a matter of perception to many since the car is mugh larger so it will seem as well-built. Those older Camrys like yours are probably the most reliable vehicles on the planet an they run forever. The assembly quality on those Camrys were (and generally still are) second to none. Still, Camrys are still one of the best rides out there. Also, consider the 4 cylinder model. V6s are great but the bullet-proof reliability and better gas mileage is the 4 cylinder’s forte. By the way, if you’re here in Southern California, search the newspapers (OC Register, LA Times, Press-Enterprise,etc). You’ll see Camry LE 4 cylinders going for around $17,000-$18,000 on sale with 5 or more on the lot. No kidding. My neighbor just picked up an ‘08 LE 4 cylinder for 17,999. He told me that he’s seen them for as low as $16,499 but he wasn’t luck enough to find one that low when he purchased his.
Q: How much horsepower do the 1992 4-cyl Toyota Camrys have?
Also, if you know, how much horsepower do the 1992 V6 Toyota Camrys have?
A: I4 – 130 hp @ 5200 RPM & 144 lb-ft @ 4000 RPM
V6 – 185 hp @ 5750 RPM & 190 lb-ft @ 4500 RPM
Thats new. Since its 16 years old and has who knows how many miles its going to be lower. Probably lots lower.
Q: Is it true that Volvo drivers have changed to Toyota Camrys?
It seems that now the Volvo make very good cars that our “Volvo drivers”, who we all know and love, have traded their old volvos in and now switched to driving Toyota Camrys. Have you noticed?
It’s a joke in case you didn’t notice!
If you don’t care, then don’t post an answer!
A: VOLVO OWNERS ARE VERY LOYAL TO THERE CAR AND WILL INVEST ON NEEDED REPAIRS.AND I SEE MANY VOLVO’S ESPECIALLY THE OLDER MODELS LIKE THE 240,700,940 AND EARLY 850 MODELS GETS PASSED DOWN TO THE KIDS WHO START COLLEGE.OR JUST GOT THEIR DRIVER’S LICENSE.ANOTHER THEORY IS THAT THE TOYOTA IS THEIR SECOND CAR USE FOR COMMUTING CAUSE OF MUCH BETTER FUEL ECONOMY.
Q: How do you know if your ‘96 Toyota Camrys tranny fluid and differential fluid are mixed or seperate?
I’ve recently heard that Depending on the car some are separate and some are mixed together. Like I said I have a ‘96 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder. I have fluid leaking from where the drivers side axle is connected to the differential.
A: Scope, To answer your question, how many automatic transmission dip-stick and fill tubes does your car have? I’ve never seen an automatic transmission with more than one. *Your ring and pinion and automatic transmission are both lubricated with automatic transmission fluid. It’s a simple repair to remove and re-press a new inner axle seal. Unfortunately the half-shaft has to come out to do the job. The inner axle shaft, just to the left of the splines should be checked for a mark or groove. If there is a grove on the axle (which could lead to another fluid leak) spend an extra $65.00 for a re-manufactured half shaft.

Q: Are Toyota Camrys able to jump start other cars?
Recently a 2003 Camry gave a 2003 Accord a jump start. Afterwards the check engine light on the Camry came on. Did giving a jump cause the engine to malfunction? Can Camrys jump other cars or are they special?
A: Any car can jump start another as long as you take the basic precautions, most automotive part retailers have a new type of jumper cables with a surge protector and an idiot proof hook-up which will tell you if you’re hooked up wrong. What i belive happened was a electrical surge may have scrambled some of the onboard computer circuity. The only way you can find out is going to the dealer and get the car computer scanned. What may have happend is that the comptuer recorded an event that included a electrical spike or surge and gone into protection mode.

I’m looking for a reliable car with good gas mileage. I heard from my last question about a used Saturn that toyotas are good for someone looking for a used car.
A: Toyota’s are over priced junk…some people on here act like they are great…that is so they can sell the one they were foolish enough to buy and buy a Saturn themselves..
the Saturn is a much better car and will last longer with fewer repairs
the one you were looking at should last well over 250,000 miles
Q: Why do the transmissions in new Toyota Camrys keep failing?
A: Toyota can’t figure out the problem. They know it’s there, but aren’t sure WHY.
Q: Has anyone heard of 2000 toyota camrys engine locking up due to a sudden braking emergency stop?
I had to stop suddenly to avoid a truck which cut me off and as car stopped suddenly heard a bang and engine fluids all leaked out…
A: the only way the car will go BANG and leaks fluid is if you are driving the car OVERHEATED or low on motor oil ..this will blow you’re engine NO DOUBT…good luck
Q: My 1992 Toyota Camrys rear lights dont work The brake lights do but not the regular lights.. any suggestions?
Ive changed the bulbs and they still dont work..
A: If you will open the trunk and look on the left hinge, you will see a harness (wires wrapped in tape) that runs along that hinge. If you follow that back, you will see where that harness plugs into another one. Because that harness flexes each time you open the trunk, the wires eventually break, and when they do, you lose various lights at the back of the car. We see this all the time at the dealership. Just cut the harness open, splice the wires back together with crimp connectors (match the colors of the wires), and then re-tape it back up.
If you don’t find any wires broken, then look behind the trim on the left side and behind a metal panel. There will be a box about 2.5′ square and about 1′ thick with a plug with wires attached to the metal panel. That is the light failure sensor. Take it out, and using a small screw driver, spread the plastic housing and pull out the innards. There you will find a small PC board. Look at it closely, and if you see any burnt spots, it is bad. If it fails, you will lose a circuit in the rear lights, or brake lights. If it is bad, it will need to be replaced.
These are the two most common problems with rear lights. As has been said, the “tail” fuse can cause it, as can the relay. If it is not the fuse, the sensor or broken wires, email me at toyodave@yahoo.com and we’ll see if we can find it.
Q: What is the problem with toyota camrys transmission.?
What exactly is teh criticism on the new camry
I am talking about the brand new 2007 camry’s transmission
A: toyota sucks
Q: What are those black stripes on the Toyota Camrys in NASCAR?
Above the right fog lights on all the Camrys are two black stripes that look like this. = Its on all of them and idk what the purpose is. Can you help me with this.
Here is a picture so you can see what I am talking about.
http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/34/l_a9681e7e71f94c0b93b6438e5a1c92c9.jpg
A: I’m not sure, they put things on race cars to designate them from others for spotters. The black stripes on the Toyota’s aren;t necessarily for anything. They are mostly used by spotters who sit up on the top of the Grandstands they can’t see the cars very well up there so they need to have to have something to designate their car from another. Also the teams put tinted numbers on a race car to help the spotter see the car from up top.
Q: What is you’re experience with Toyota Camrys???
My truck just died and I’ve heard a lot of good things about Camrys. Is there any particular kind of Camry that’s better than the others??
A: My family members have been Camry loyalists for years. Overall, they are very, very reliable and fuel-efficient cars. However, because they have become known for these great characteristics, their price can be high. If you have the money, go ahead and invest in a Camry. If you don’t, try a Nissan Sentra. This is another small, fuel-efficient, and reliable car but because it is not as well known, it’s price is a little more reasonable.
Q: What tire pressure should a 2006 Toyota camrys tires be?
A: Toyota recommends 32 PSI for all their passenger car and light truck tires….i know this because i am a Toyota Service Tech…that being said, go by what the door placard says (ie. 32 psi.)
Q: Do toyota Camrys break down easily?
Me and My friend are argueing about toyota camrys, and he says that they break down very easy. I thought that they were one of the highest rated cars for not breaking down. Could you tell me who is right?
A: Camry’s do not break down easily or often. They also have low operating costs considering fuel, repair and resale value.
To give another view, look to the taxi cab companies. Many operators are now running Camry’s because they are lower cost to operate and do not break down. They are also very comfortable for the passenger.
To give a third view, watch for the vehicles broke down on the side of the road. You will not see a Camry…
