Q: My brand new mazda cx 9 got a hail damage after the storm in Minneapolis, where should i take to fix?
My SUV has hail damage on the hood, at the roof top, some molding damage and a couple on the side frames. Insurance company gave us an estimate. But now I have to find a shop that can make it brand new again. I am torn apart if i should take my car to Mazda Dealership Service center or to a shop that specializes on dent repairs? Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good shop in Minneapolis area? thank you!!

A: your best bet for this repair is to ask a couple of different body shops for references on a paintless dent repair company. some body shops will have a company that they use for this specific repair. also because you may take this car to a mazda dealer doesn’t mean they will do a good job. you may want to look on yahoo local in your area and type in body shops and see where that takes you.

Q: I need wiring and disassembly instructions to install speakers on the 3rd row seats of a Mazda CX-9. Any help?
I don’t think my Cx-9 2009 have speakers in the 3-row seat (the place for them is there) How can I add those two speakers?

A: See if its pre-wired or not. If not you will have to pull up the door scuff plates, loosen the carpet and run in your cables. Fit speakers to holes provided or cut/enlarge to suit.
Take your time to find the hidden fixings, try to avoid breaking anything!

Q: Better 7-passenger crossover, Ford Flex or Mazda CX-9?
I’m looking into buying new 7-passenger Ford crossover and can’t decide between the 2009-10 Ford Flex or the 2009-10 Mazda CX-9. I would prefer to buy a Ford because I get a deep discount (my grandfather was a former Ford employee) but am open to other ideas. Which car do you think is better and why?

Q: Mazda CX 9 Pulls to left on crowned roads??
When driving in the outside lanes of the interstates that have a crown the Mazda CX 9 pulls in the direction of the crown. Anyone else had this problem or a solution. Thanks

Q: Has anyone taken the Mazda cx-9 on the beach?
I am seriously looking at purchasing the Mazda CX9. Has anyone taken this vehicle on the beach? I know it has AWD, but I am not sure if this is the same as 4WD

A: You should be fine. The AWD system on the CX-9 works like this……

You always have FWD until the front tires spin faster than the rear, then 50% of the power is sent to the rear tires. You are not in AWD mode everytime you drive, just when you loose traction.

Q: I have a Mazda CX-9. Is there a hack or code available to make the installed DVD player region-free?
The DVD player was factory installed (in the roof) so it is the standard model that comes with the car. I bought the car in march last year,

Q: What do you think of the Mazda CX-9?
Thinking of buying the top of the line model. Is it better than the Toyota Hylander or the Hyuandai 7 passenger SUVs? Are there any superior alternatives?

A: I think it’s a great SUV. I plan on buying one myself. I test drove it, and it handles like a much smaller vehicle. Almost like a car, but not quite. It does not feel as large as it is.

The 3rd row is not quite a comfortable as the Honda Pilot, but the Pilot’s looks are old and dated. I think the 2009 model is a complete redesign.

The Hyundai and Hylander are the only foreign options that I would consider. Surprisingly, the GM based SUVs are really good looking, especially the new Buick. But, I don’t think they are quite as good as the Japanese/Korean models in overall quality and performance.

Q: How can I track a new Mazda CX 9 that I ordered as it is getting built,shipped and transported?

A: As far as tracking a ship on the ocean, it’s very hard to do unless you want to pay. I was trying to track my car on a ship from Germany to the U.S. and could not get any information while th ship was at sea.

By the way, Mazda has a major facility at Port Hueneme (near Oxnard, CA), but I never found any public information about ship arrivals.

Q: what will be different or new for the mazda cx-9 in 2009?
Yea i really want to buy this car now. but i really like the sync features that ford has. i’m thinking if i wait it might be a feature added to the 2009 model. what do u think?

A: Since it only came out in 2007, I would think any changes would be with color and trim levels. It’s not like they’re going to drop a V8 or hybrid in there all of the sudden.

One thing I would like to see if for Mazda to get the Sync system that Ford has. Then I can finally control my stupid Zune from my head unit.

Q: Is the Mazda CX-9 considered or viewed as a chick/soccer mom, car? Or is it “manly” enough for a cool dad?
Having anxiety coming off a BMW 3 series lease. lol Married with 2 kids now, and can use the extra space. Plus I do like the the elevated SUV ride. CX-9 is currently the only one to come in at my budget of lease payment in the low 400’s with zero down. Any thoughts?

A: The only people who label cars as chick cars or manly cars are those who are unsure of their sexuality. Drive what you want and let the naysayers go jump. I’ve seen every car imaginable driven by both sexes. I would probably raise an eyebrow though if you drove a pink caddy. Probably place you as a pimp.

A: The Mazda gets my money, they look good, handle good and are definitely reliable. Probably a little easier on gas than the Explorer too. The Ford Explorer has a long history of unreliabilty, they have probably cleaned up their act a little but I would’nt trust one.

Actually I would get a Toyota Highlander Hybrid.

Q: Where is the air intake temperature sensor located in my mazda 2007 CX 9?

A: it could be somewhere from air cleaner to the throttle body alldata is incomplete to show me
